the question.. my day.. vacation

Ten years ago, when I was asked “Where do you want to be ten years from now?” I don’t exactly remember what I said. But I can assure you I was a lot more ambitious then. I would have never answered my life as it is at the present. Stuck in a cube all day, going solo, I do the daily dreadful commute to work everyday from home, and the happy-meter is not really at its max. Oh well, it is what it is right.

It’s my day today. I can be very selfish when it comes to my birthday. It’s my birthday! As my niece says repeatedly “MINE! MINE! MINE!!!!” I’m so sick of celebrating it with someone else. I have seven friends on facebook who has the same birthday, plus the others who were born one day before or after August 21st. I mean, did our parents decide all at once to procreate in November so that we, my fellow birthday celebrants will be born on the same day? Really?! For me not to celebrate in Los Angeles, I’m leaving town!!!!

I am on vacation!!!! I first celebrated my freedom by the waters at the beach on a work-day. I miss those days when I don’t have to work and just hang. Now, I live in a trance. Everything is a routine. I do one thing after another. I started to not notice things as they became so dull. It’s such a bummer, but what can I do – IT IS WHAT IT IS!!! At the strike of midnight, I celebrated my birthday downing tequila shot into my throat.

I’m leaving today for a little road trip. We’re going all the way up to Yellowstone. You should be excited for me! I’ll let you know if we ever needed to use bear repellant. That’s if I live to write another blog. Who knows!

Have a fantastic day everyone!!!
